Malta Student Visa in 12 Stage Process

Stage One

Complete your visa application form and affix your photograph. You may download the Visa Application Form from our website

Stage Two

Applicants going for the purpose of studying and training and who needs to stay in Malta for a period of more than 90days needs to apply under study/training category. Download the Malta Embassy (VFS) Checklist Malta Visa Application Form

Stage Three

Ready with your documents as per Malta Embassy (VFS) checklist.

Stage Four

Overseas Travel Medical Insurance valid for all Schengen countries. The insurance must cover the applicant for at least 50,000 Euros (or equivalent) all risks (accident, illness, medical emergency, evacuation, etc). The policy must clearly specify the period of validity and must cover the entire duration of the stay in Malta including the date of arrival and departure. The Insurance may only be purchased from one of the 16 Schengen recognized Insurance Companies in India.

Stage Five

Original Educational Certificates, apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs of the issuing country plus photocopies of the same. Originals will be returned with passport.

Stage Six

Notarized No Objection Certificate by both parents or legal guardian

Stage Seven

Team VMARS will coordinate to arrange all the original documents from the Malta Institute

Stage Eight

All applicants are required to book an appointment online to submit their visa application. If you have missed your appointment on the scheduled day, the system will not allow you to reschedule or cancel and you will require to book a new appointment after 24 hours.

Please make sure you arrive at the visa application center 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. Applicants are not allowed to be accompanied inside the visa application center.

If you are part of a family or group, each member of the family or group must make an individual appointment.

Stage Nine

Collect your passport from the Visa Application Centre or avail the option of courier delivery.

Stage Ten

Within 5 working days VFS will email the Embassy Interview schedule to the applicant.

Stage Eleven

Please make sure you arrive at the Embassy 30 minutes prior to your appointment time. Applicants are not allowed to be accompanied inside the Embassy.

Stage Twelve

You can Track your application onlineby entering VFS reference number and your Date of Birth.
